Bobbie Lee Worley joined his Savior peacefully on the September 28, 2012. He was born on December 24, 1920 in Ollie, IA to Calphurnia (Frederick) and Orville Worley. At the young age of two, his family moved to Colorado’s San Luis Valley. On January 18, 1943, Bob married Mary Janet Snow while he was stationed in Miami, FL. After Janet’s passing in 1983 he married Rita Holmes on August 1, 1986. Bob was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, serving his country from 1942-45 during WWII and from 1955-1981. During his second enlistment he served during the Korean War and experienced four deployments to Vietnam where he served with honor as part of the Admiral’s staff. He was Past President of the American Legion and an active member of the VFW Post 4061 and the Sunrise Lions. Bob is survived by his sons, Timothy and Norma Worley of Sidney, Maine and Robert and Aurice of Canon City, CO; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Five step-children; and numerous grand and great grandchildren also survive him.
