Bobbie Lee Sherman, October 5, 1931 – February 13, 2015.

Bobbie Lee Sherman,83, of Belton passed away Friday February 13th at the VA in Temple surrounded by family and friends. He was born at the Slough in Florence, Texas on October 5, 1931 to Emmett and Lila Mae Taylor Sherman. He served in Korea during the Korean Conflict and was an Atomic Veteran, witnessing the testing of the Atom bomb in the Nevada desert. He worked at Ft. Hood for civil service for 31 years. He also worked at Smith Brothers car wash for many years.

Bobbie married Mary Margaret Edwards on February 24,1956. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and one granddaughter. Survivors include his wife Mary Sherman of Belton TX, two daughters Brenda Sherman Shell and husband Charles of Turkey Bend TX, Beverly Sherman Montgomery and husband Garry of Bertram TX. Grandchildren Jennifer Sherman Montgomery and husband Doug of Florence,TX, Kelly Montgomery Champeau and husband Daniel of Burnet TX, Curtis Shell and wife Madelynn of Duffield VA, Bud Montgomery of New Braunfels TX. Four great grandsons, Tyler, Colton and Charles Montgomery of Florence TX and Coen Champeau of Burnet TX. Two great granddaughters Marley and Mia Champeau of Burnet TX. One sister Mary Davidson of Belton TX. And numerous nieces and nephews.
