Brandon Robert Pounds, 86, Clive, Iowa died Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in West Des Moines, Iowa. Bob was born July 18, 1935 in Clayton, North Carolina to Loomis Albert & Bessie Ann (Cole) Pounds.
After serving in the U.S. Army during the Cold War, tending Hercules Missiles, he went on to work for Massey-Ferguson over 34 years, retiring as general finance manager. Bob was always in the thick of things, be it work or varied organizations. He enjoyed traveling, family & friend time, and NASCAR Racing. Oh, wait, we almost forgot his fondness for the CASINO!
Survivors include wife, Lucinda ‘Lou’ Mae (Dakovich) Pounds, children, Steven Keith Pounds, David Craig (Claudine) Pounds, Jodi (Dave) Van Rossum, and Chad (Reeve) Swertfager, grandchildren, Brandon C. Pounds, Jordan Lumley, Kendall & Kyler Swertfager, Michael (Kennedy) Van Rossum, and Ginger Flack, great grandchildren, Ryker & Rhett Van Rossum, and Amaya Flack, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Albert & Bessie, brother Dennis, and daughter Lori.
