Bob “Bob-O”, “Wheels”, “Spider” De Veney died Monday April 13, 2015 at Cooper University Hospital Medical Center, Camden at the age of 53. Born in Mt. Holly, Bob was a lifelong Burlington resident. A graduate of Burlington City High School, he was employed for over 35 years at Public Service Electric and Gas Co. in Burlington. He loved coaching his girls softball teams and boys basketball for many years in Burlington Township. He loved being outdoors, particularly surf fishing in Seaside, riding his ’77 FX Harley, and performing in his bands as bass player and singer.

He enjoyed making pulled pork and beer butt chicken in his smoker grill. Bob’s favorite holiday was Halloween. He would spend the month of October setting up the yard and was well known for his ghoulish display. After Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners with family he would take meals to his Public Service coworkers and friends who had to work on the holiday. He will be most remembered by those who knew him as a charitable, giving, generous person who would do whatever was needed to help people or rescue an animal. He was a member of the TK Club in Burlington for many years.

Most of all he loved his road trips with his best friend Larry. Son of the late Richard, his life will be celebrated by his loving family; mother Anne, wife Bernice, son Rob (his idol) (Alex), daughters Veronica, Lacy and Bianca, son Gregory, his aunt, uncle and cousins and friends of whom there are just too many to list.
