Mt. Olive – Mrs. Blondell Parks, 76 of 600 Smith Chapel Rd. claimed the promise of the resurrection on Sunday, December 15, 2013 in Wayne Memorial Hospital.
“Blond” as she wss affectionately called by family and friends is the eldest daughter of the late Laban Isaiah and Ruth Adell Kornegay and the wife of the late Ralph Samuel Parks.
Cherished memories will linger in the hearts of her children, Ralph D. Parks (Belinda) Parks of Waldorf, MD, Anita Parks Williams (Charles) of Lakeland, FL, Ricky L. Parks, Sacramento, CA and Debra Carlisle (Larry) of Goldsboro; one son-in-law, Nelson Pearsall, Mt. Olive; two sisters, Mary B. Kornegay of Sacramento, CA and Patricia K. Pearsall of Woodbridge, VA;brother, Nevel Norris Kornegay of Sacramento, CA; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she has been reunited with a son at birth and her daughter, Collette Parks Pearsall.
