Lois Hazel Blevins, of Oxford, daughter of the late William Ballard and Georgia Helm Ballard, was born January 22, 1920 in Oxford, Arkansas. She died May 23, 2015 at her daughter’s home in Mountain Home at the age of 95 years 4 months and 1 day.
She was united in marriage to Lindall Blevins on February 14, 1936 in Oxford. During her working years, she farmed, along side her husband. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oxford Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn McCurley of Mountain Home; her grandchildrn: Angie Steer and husband Thomas, and Charles Gregory “Greg” McCoach and wife Darla; great-grandchildren: Steven Steer, Beth Mincey and husband Dillon, Michael Steer and wife Rachel, and Jesse Steer; great-great grandchildren: Andrew, Abby, Eli, and Eden Steer: and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters: Rhea Singleton, and Faye Sherrell; brother: Dorr Ballard: grandson: Steven McCoach; and her father and mother.
Pallbearers are Michael Steer, Steven Steer, Andrew Steer, Jesse Steer, Jackie Walling, and Donnie Sherrell. Honorary pallbearers are John Dvorak, Shell Norvold, Joe Johnson, Jerry Blevins, and George Walling.
