Blanche Y. Stanton

Norwich, CT. – Blanche Yvette Stanton, 92, of Hamilton Ave. died peacefully at home on Sunday February 8, 2015. She was the wife of the late Allan Stanton. Born in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of the late Clarence & Mary Jane (Crawford) St. Jean.
Blanche was a waitress for several area restaurants and co-owner of Uneeda Cleaner dry cleaners. She was a member of the Rose City Senior Center, the UConn Fireside Extension Group, and the Backus Hospital Women’s Auxiliary.
Blanche is survived by her son, Allan D. Stanton of Preston; her daughter Patricia Salla of Norwich; her brother Robert Crawford of R.I.; her sister, Catherine Guillmette of Coventry, RI; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Blanche had a few special people in her life, one being her granddaughter, Barbara Kiertianis of Plainfield; others include Louise Cardin, and Rose Benoit of Norwich. She is predeceased by her sisters, Rita DePinto and Claire Briggs.
