Aunt Blanche, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, was born in Decatur on September 11, 1933 to the late Joe Bradley and Gola Mae Edwards Morrow. She departed this life Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Decatur General Campus in Decatur, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Barbara Sue Elliott.
Blanche confessed hope in Christ at an early age. She remained a faithful member of St. James C.P.C.A. until the very end. She served diligently on the Usher Board and was a dedicated member of Club #4. She gladly served in other capacities when asked.
Blanche was employed at Goodyear for 26 years. After her retirement, her plans were to sit back and relax, but often found herself busy offering assistance to whomever was in need.
Even though Blanche never had children of her own, she did not lack maternal nurturing.
In addition to Jacqueline and Corey, Blanche leaves to cherish her memory a devoted brother, Donald Morrow (Lynn) of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Adeline Davis (Thad) of Madison, AL and Queen Tucker(Donald) of Decatur, AL; a brother-in-law, James Elliott of Decatur, AL; three lifelong friends, Margaret Lewis, Marjorie Looney and Delilah Fletcher all of Decatur, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
