Blanche I. ( Swanson ) Cushing, of Brockton, formerly a longtime resident of Stoughton, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday February 20, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was 83 years old and the beloved wife of over 60 years to CSM Melvin E. Cushing. She was also the loving mother of Mark R. Cushing of Brockton and his longtime companion Esther I. Yim of Stoughton and a sister to the late Louis R. Swanson Jr.
