Blanche Fields DeBoe, 89, of 6010 Cobblestone Ct., Danville, VA died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in Morehead Memorial Hospital, Eden, NC. Born October 31, 1920 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Frank Fields and the late Lena Martin Fields. Mrs. DeBoe was a member of the Danville First Pentecostal Holiness Church where she taught Sunday School for 50 years. She was a kind and loving mother and friend. She retired from Dan River, Inc. She was predeceased by her husband, James “Dusty†DeBoe on July 14, 1997. Mrs. DeBoe is survived by a daughter, Joan D. Laws and her husband, Rev. James Laws of Elon, NC, two sons, Joel R. DeBoe and wife, Virginia of Danville and Dr. James DeBoe and wife, Jaeron of Dugspur, VA, a sister, Elise F. Bentzel of Orlando, Florida, and a half-brother, Jim Hilliard of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Lucille Anderson and Helen Myers.
