Blanche Elaine Davis Martini passed away on Oct. 31, 2015 at the age of 75 at her home in Boise, Idaho. Her husband, Arthur and daughter, Keri were with her when she passed on. Elaine was born May 30, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Robert Kimball Davis and Audrey Jane Slaughter Davis. She married Arthur Richard Martini on November 25, 1972, their marriage was later solemnized in 1974 in the Provo LDS Temple. Elaine received her Bachelor’s Degree in English and Theater from BYU in Provo, UT then taught for several years as a teacher in both Junior High and High School where she taught English, debate, and drama. When her daughter was born, she retired from teaching to become a full time homemaker. Elaine was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi. She loved her sorority sisters and enjoyed attending meetings and events. Elaine was an avid reader. She also adored doing various projects such as knitting, cross stitch, and needle point. She lovingly made many different items for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed vacationing with Art and her children. One of Elaine’s favorite past times was watching the Boise State Broncos games with her husband and son on TV. Elaine was an inspiration to anyone who knew her.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Arthur; her daughter, Keri Sue Anderson of Boise, Idaho; her son, Richard K Martini; 4 grandchildren, Jade Overton, Mariah Overton, Ricky Martini, and Dylan Martini of Lakeville, MN; her brothers, Robert K. Davis of Avondale, AZ and Herbert W. Davis of MN. Elaine was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey; father, Robert; and her baby sister, Barbara Jane.
