Blanch Elizabeth Scott, 92, died Nov. 29, 2010. She was born June 21, 1918, in Maple Hill, KS, the daughter of William Milo Firestone and Dorothy Vining Appleton. She spent her first 45 years in Kansas and her last 40 in Scottsdale, AZ, living also in Missouri, Nebraska and California. She was married to Walter Theodore Scott 67 years, and considered herself first and foremost a wife, mother and homemaker. She had a variety of jobs including working for the Red Cross during WWII, as an Avon Lady, for the IRS in Kansas City and for the Scottsdale Schools. She loved her poodles, feeding hummingbirds, trailer camping and cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Helen Kinder. She is survived by sisters Evelyn Walters and Opal Lange; son Gary (Jan) and daughter Carmen Wendt (Al); grandchildren Geoff, Maricia (Matt Rosin) and Amanda Wendt; and step grandchildren Jeremy German and Kathryn Davies (Dave).
