Bjørnar Kristian Hermansen, born February 12, 1943 in Tromsø, Norway, son of Ole K. Hermansen and Klara I. Johannessen, had two sisters; Gerd Mai Jacobsen (deceased) and Anne-Grethe Hermansen of Tromsoe, and one brother Ole Hermansen Jr. (deceased). Our beloved husband, father and grandpa «Faff» passed quietly on December 30th, surrounded by his family, at his home on Merritt Island at the Hacienda Del Sol. He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years Bjørg, his two sons Tom and John, their wives Cortney and Merete and three grandchildren Erik, Sophia and Vanessa who thought the world revolved around him. Bjornar lived life to the fullest. Coming from very humble beginnings, born 200 miles north of the arctic circle during the German occupation of Norway, Bjornar worked relentlessly from a very early age to succeed. Driven to be the best, he excelled during his academic studies and early career. His strong entrepreneurial spirit drove him to start several successful companies; but he always said that he worked to allow him to care for family, friends and to enjoy life; all of which he did with gusto. He was incredibly generous, always willing to help friends in need and those less fortunate in his community and beyond through his steadfast commitment to numerous philanthropic organizations. To those who knew him in life and business, Bjørnar was a force to be reckoned with. To those of us who loved him as our patriarch and friend, we knew that under the thick skin was a sweet, loving man. We will miss him dearly.
