Birdie Johnson- Montgomery, age 60, born September 13,1961 in Cairo, Illinois. She was called to be with the Lord on October 22,2021 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital.
Birdie was known for her beautiful soprano voice; one would say she sang like a bird. She was a songstress extraordinaire, ministering in various venues. She was a compassionate nurse and caregiver always caring for the young and elderly.
She is preceded in death by parents Raymond and Rosie Johnson, brothers Fredrick, Eurskin and Wilbert Johnson .
Birdie leaves to cherish her memories to her loving husband, Teddy Montgomery, Sr., brothers; Larry Johnson , Raymond (Jacquelynne) Johnson Jr., Bobby (Dorothy) Johnson and Willie Johnson; sisters Louis Wade, Doris (William) Bowers, Lula Johnson, Margie (Charlie) Williams, Valerie (Randy) Brown and Sharon (Mike) Gay. Sister in-law Frankie (Gilbert) Quick, Step-children; Teddy (Tesha) Montgomery, Duane Montgomery, Ayanna Montgomery, Brandon Mason Montgomery, Reyna Montgomery, Latonya (Bobby) Montgomery- Brittford, Special Niece: Lashina Johnson and a host of other relatives and friends.
