Bina Lee McCowan
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, Bina Lee McCowan, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2016. She was born on May 16, 1924 in Buckner, Arkansas to Arlander and Odessa Dockery Wesley.
She married Adell Ellis. They were married for 10 years and later divorced. She later married her sweetheart, Alfred McCowan on August 31, 1960.
She was an active member for over 50 years of New Zion Baptist Church and served as a Deaconess.
Bina loved to sew, fish, cook, travel, can food, and garden. She enjoyed playing games with her family and loved attending church.
She is survived by her children, Betty Jean Tucker and Alfred Douglas (Rose) McCowan; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons; four brothers and six sisters.
