Billy Harold Ratteree, age 76, of Dallas, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2009. A native of Paulding County, he was born June 6, 1932, and was preceded in death by his parents, Ben. F. & Ruby Hulsey Ratteree,wife, Joan Hardy Ratteree, son, Dennis F. Ratteree, and sister, Betty Mae Ratteree. Mr. Ratteree was a Korean War veteran of the U. S. Army. He was retired from Southern Bell and AT & T as a PBX Installer, after 33 years, and then was self employed for 15 years with Ratteree Telecom. Mr. Ratteree served on the Paulding County School Board for 8 years, was a member of the Civitan Club, the California Ruritan Club, and the Board of Directors for Paulding Enterprises. Mr.
Survivors include his son, Tim S. Ratteree of Hiram; daughter, Jan C. Ratteree of Dallas; brother & sister-in-law Joe & Ann Ratteree of Dallas; sisters & brothers-in-law, Gloria & Gerald Morris of Powder Springs and Patricia & Ken Kolb of Douglasville; grandchildren, Brittany Ratteree, Erica Ratteree and Tangela Ratteree; nieces and nephews.
