Billy R. Manis, 73, of McCordsville, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at IU Saxony Health in Fishers. He was born in Wayne County, IN on May 4, 1940 to the late Luther A. and Bessie Mae (Wilburn) Manis. Billy retired from Ford Motor Company in 2000 after 40 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of UAW Local #1111. Billy is survived by daughter: Dianna (David) McCarty of McCordsville, son Cary Manis, grandchildren: Justin and Kellie Manis of Farmington Hills, MI; Victoria and Samantha McCarty of McCordsville; brother: James (Marva) Manis of Greenfield; sisters: Thelma (Bill) Coch of Ohio and DeeDee Haynes of New Castle, IN.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joanna L. Manis in 2012; sister: Bessie Stevens: and brothers: Roy, Paul, E.R., and Eugene.
