Billy L. Patterson, age 79, of Birmingham, AL passed away on November 7, 2009. He retired from the Birmingham Police Department with 32 years of service, and then worked for the Federal Marshall’s office for 10 years. Billy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Parkway Christian Fellowship. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Lena Patterson and brother, James H. Patterson. Billy is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Patterson; daughters, Karen Allums (Billy) and Kelly Patterson; grandchildren, Nicole Allums, Alex Abel and Kelsey Skellie.
