Billy Mack McGlaun, age 83, of Elkhart, left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father, Lord, and Savior on Friday, the 27th day of August 2021.  Mr. McGlaun passed away peacefully at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Jacksonville. He was born on the 4th day of December 1937, to parents Floyd and Billie Fay McGlaun.

An avid baseball fan, Mr. McGlaun enjoyed coaching at the PYAA for many years. He also took great joy in watching his grandchildren play sports and traveled to see their games. He was a man who loved his family and took immense delight in supporting his wife, kids, and grandchildren in every way. He worked for twenty plus years as a meat cutter for Safeway and later retired from Brookshires. Mr. McGlaun was a faithful member at Norwood Heights Baptist Church in Palestine. He was a principled man who lived his core values: Faith, Family, and Freedom. His patriotism was evidenced by have serving in the Army National Guard.

Mr. McGlaun is proceeded in death by his parents, sister Mary Rogers and brother Lynn McGlaun and is survived by his loving wife, of 57 years, Marlene McGlaun; daughter, Shannon McGlaun Fox and husband Joe of Elkhart; son, Christopher McGlaun and wife Melissa of Palestine; sister Judy Utzman of Colorado.

He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Kaysi Vaughn and husband Fred, Adam Fox and wife Tiffany, Shelby McGlaun, Travis McGlaun, Trey McGlaun, Bennett Gierkey, Madeline Gierkey, Katherine Gierkey, Amelia Winkler; and four great grandchildren, Sarah Vaughn, Kara Vaughn, Channing Fox, and Case Fox.
