Billy M. Coverdale, 86, of Anderson, passed away on February 27, 2014 at the Saint Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital Anderson, IN. He was born on May 5, 1927 in Linwood, Madison County, Indiana and resided most of his life in Anderson. Billy graduated from Anderson High School .
He retired from Delco- Remy Corporation. Billy proudly served his nation in the Navy during WWII- Pacific. He was a member of UAW 662, Cub Master, Civil Defense Police, Auxillary Police, and Band Parents. He was an avid camper for over 26 years and was quite an outdoorsman.
Billy is survived by his loving children, Dale Lynell Coverdale of Summitville, IN, April Larry Hoyt of Burlington, KY, Kevin Darlene Coverdale of Markleville, IN, sisters, Jarilynn Ward of Clearwater, FL, Patricia Dennis Patterson of Niles, MI, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and cousin, Tom Coverdale of Lapel, IN, camping buddies and special friends.
He was preceded in death by wife, Virginia Lukens Coverdale, mother, Arrahwanna Hammond Coverdale, father, Charles Coverdale, brothers, Larry Coverdale and David Eugene Emmerson.
