Billy Lee Rudasill, 80, of Belton, formerly of Mexia.

Mr. Rudasill died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in a Temple hospital.

Mr. Rudasill was born March 24, 1938, in Teague, the son of Wylie Holton Rudasill and Ellen (Williams) Rudasill. He grew up in Mexia and married Linda Parten, also of Mexia, on November 10, 1956. They were married for 49 years.  Mr. Rudasill worked hard for most of his life as a master carpenter, working in construction and building homes, office buildings, schools, and libraries.

After retiring from his work at VA Hospitals in Temple and Waco, Mr. Rudasill continued to use his construction skills and concern for others in service as a builder for the Habitat for Humanity in Mexia.  He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Mr. Rudasill was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, his son John, his infant son Todd, one granddaughter, his parents, and his sister.

Survivors include two daughters, Leah Rudasill, of Morgan’s Point Resort, and Niki Barney and her husband Jay, of Troy, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
