Surrounded by his family, Mr. Billy Lee Pitts, 44, of Newnan went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning November 4, 2011 after his strong battle with cancer. He was born August 5, 1967 at Newnan Hospital and was the son of Mary Bishop & Lamar Nelms. Billy was an avid NASCAR fan who never missed watching a race. His all time favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Billy was loved by many family members, friends, and co-workers. Mr. Pitts is survived by his wife Cathy Pitts; siblings, Tommy Pitts & wife Becky, Jajuanna O’Hara & husband Tim, Cassie Bishop & fiance’ Eric Rainwater; father-in-law Mr. Hudon Smith; sisters-in-law Carol Riggs, Reba Mitchell, Debbie Chappell; and numerous nieces & nephews.
