Billy Joe Timmons, 67 of Centralia passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.Billy was born March 8, 1947 in Centralia, son of Ira Timmons and Margaret (Allen) Timmons. He married Donna (Basola) Timmons of Sandoval and they later divorced. He married Barbara (Williams) Timmons and they later divorced and he married Cathy (Hodge) Timmons and she preceded him in death on December 15, 2007.
He is survived by two sons, Craig Timmons and wife Misty of Patoka and Justin Timmons and wife Jennifer of North Carolina; a daughter, Christy Phipp and husband Steve of Sandoval; step-daughter, Denisa Rollinson; eight grandchildren: Trevor Timmons, Ariel Timmons, Bailey Phipps, Brandon Phipps, Jace Phipps, Hailey Timmons, J.D. Timmons, Nicole Fenwick and Lexus Fenwick; a step-grandson, Brandon Brooks; five brothers: Jerry Timmons of Junction City, Ed Timmons and wife Sharon, Rodney Timmons and wife Sue of Wamac, Terry Timmons of Centralia, and Jeff Timmons and wife Shelia of Salem; three sisters: Diane Horn and husband Chrales of Port Huron, Michigan, Sue Owen and Husband Larry of Centralia, and Cheryl Timmons of Walnut Hilll; half brother, Tim Timmons of Baytown, TX; four sisters: Fonda Timmons Smith and JoAnn Timmons from Baytown, TX, Tammy Timmons of Flora, and Paula Hemenover and husband Merv of Salem; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Cathy, five brothers: Bob Timmons, Ira J. Timmons, Hobert Timmons, Steve Timmons and Larry Timmons, and two sisters: Pat Timmons Vinson and Nancy Timmons Thompson.Billy served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the Centralia VFW Post 2055. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting, mushroom hunting, blackberry hunting. He also enjoyed scratching off scratch off lottery tickets. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids, family and friends.
