His greatest talent was telling stories in a clever yet amusing way. Billy Joe greatly loved his family and friends. He was known for being a kind and humble man, always offering thanks and compliments with a very sincere heart.
He was preceded in death by his father Clyde McPhail and his brother David Ray McPhail.
He is survived by his mother Patricia Ann McPhail and sisters Anita Carol Randle, Frankie McPhail and Debbie Delaney and her husband Stan, nephews Mitchell Brown, Buford McPhail and Dillon Delaney and nieces Jessica McPhail and Whitney Delaney.
