Billy Joe Hobbs, 61, of Columbus, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, in Columbus. He was born December 14, 1954, to his parents Delbert Curtis and Charlotte June (McPhearson) Hobbs, in Frankton, Indiana.
Billy Joe was a pastor, at The Crossing Church, in Nineveh. He enjoyed preaching and talking about the Bible. He liked nature and golfing. He was proud to lecture about multiple myeloma for the IU Hospital’s Simon Cancer Center.
He is survived by his four children: Jordan Hobbs of California, Jacob (Chimene) Hobbs of Las Vegas, Jered Hobbs of Los Angeles, Cassondra Hobbs of Oregon, his sisters; Katherine Jane Hobbs-Pile of Shelbyville, Kathleen June Phillips of Columbus, two brothers; James Hobbs of Springfield, Illinois, and Donald Hobbs of Oklahoma, four grandchildren; Jaidin, Mackenzie, Jordan II, and Charlotte Grace Hobbs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Charlotte Hobbs.
