Billy Joe Coaker, 74, a resident of Chatom, AL passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Mobile Infirmary. Mr. Coaker was born on February 24, 1941 to Newt Moore Coaker and Alma Marie Hartley Coaker. He worked as a bus shop foreman with the Washington County Board of Education for 13 years. Mr. Coaker was a member of South Oak Grove Baptist Church in Fruitdale, AL. Preceding him in death were his parents, Newt and Alma Coaker, brother, Charles Arthur Coaker and sisters, Nora Bell Kelley and Audrey Dukes. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandra M. Coaker of Chatom, AL; 2 sons, Tommy J. (Anjeanette) Coaker of Beaumont, MS and Rob (Kim) Coaker of Chatom, AL; 2 brothers, Norman Coaker of Chatom, AL and Kenneth W. (Ethel) Coaker of Fruitdale, AL; 4 grandchildren, Whitney Coaker, Jalin Coaker, MaKaylee Coaker and Laiken Coaker; and his dear lap dog, Ruby “Roo Roo” Coaker.
