Billy Jay Neil passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 surrounded by the strength and love of his family. He was born on June 18, 1927 in Canton, Missouri to Ruth E. Bailey and Ralph W. Neil. He married his sweetheart, Corinne Dean Curtis, in Ogden on April 17, 1948 and they were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on October 1, 1962. Next month they would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. They had 2 children, Blake (Kathy) Neil and Tamara (John) Schaff and the late Rex L. Schenck.
Billy was a proud WWII veteran. He joined the Navy when he was only 16 years old and proudly served in the South Pacific. He served onship, and overseas, for 3 years and 27 days. He served on the USS Missoula, USS Columbus and the USS Iowa.
