Billy Jay Ashmore, Jr., 63, died Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at his home in Taylor, MS..M. at First Baptist Church of McComb with Dr. Woody Rimes officiating.. In honor of Billy’s love for his country, the family requests that those in attendance wear red, white, and blue. *In accordance with guidelines issued by the State of Mississippi, social distancing guidelines will be followed and face coverings should be worn. He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Oxford, MS. His wife and children were the pride of his life and he was known to brag on them continuously to anyone who would listen! He found great joy in spending time with his family. Billy was a proud patriot who loved and supported his country in any way possible. He was an avid coin collector and treasured his coin collection. Additionally, Billy loved riding motorcycles, fishing, and golfing. He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Jay Ashmore, Sr.; his mother, Audrey Faye Floyd Hansen and two sisters, Sherry Lou Clark and Nan Ford Pitre.Survivors of Billy include his wife, Connie Ashmore of Taylor, MS; two daughters, Ashley Ashmore of Taylor, MS and Alisha Ashmore Lee and her husband, Michael of Liberty, MS; two sons, Bradley Ashmore of Taylor, MS and Bryan Ashmore and his wife, Alyssa, of Ocean Springs, MS; one nephew, Michael J….234.7971 or visit .
