Billy H. Moore (The Cedar Man), 81, of Valley, AL passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Lanier Nursing Home.
Mr. Moore is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Jettie J. Moore; two sons, Rusty (Cathy) Moore of Cusseta, AL, Chuck (Jill) Moore of Valley, AL; one daughter, Lindy (Dennis) Parrish of Phenix City, AL; nine grandchildren, Jake (Charlotte) Baker of Valley, AL, Dan (Amy) Baker of Harris County, GA, Krysten (Travis) Burnham of Phenix City, AL, Harley (Melissa) Moore of Greenwood, S.C., Russell (Angle) Moore of Beauregard, AL, Kathyrn (Paul) Smith of Atlanta, GA, Laura (Lou) Adkins of Cumming, GA, Ben Moore of Atlanta, GA, and Zeke (Christi) Drawhorn of Houston, TX, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Moore worked at the Fairfax Mill for 47 ½ years. He was known as “The Cedar Man” because of all the cedar wood work he had done and had a love for his family. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Fairfax.
