Billy G. Pierce, 80, Anderson, passed away April 29, 2010 at Countryside Manor, Anderson after an extended illness. He was born August 25, 1929 in Albany, Kentucky, and resided in Anderson since 1956.
Billy served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Fisher Body in Marion as a forklift driver after 30 years of service.
Billy was a member of Valley Grove Free Will Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign War and the UAW Local #977.
He is survived by his wife whom he married September 22, 1956, Eula Gregory Pierce; Daughter, Sue Crouse Jay; son, Danny Green Jerri; daughter-in-law, Sondra Green; sisters, Mary Rose Sparks of New Castle and Peggy Beaty Gilbert of Albany, Kentucky; grandchildren, Dawn Crouse Randy of Gambier, Ohio, Michelle Drechsler Larry, Wendy Cook Larry, Chris Green, Kevin Green, Mark Green Cristi of Huntington, and Jeff Green Leah; great grandchildren, Stephen, Britney, Jared, Jaycelin, Logan, Jacob, Jake, Cameron, Ian, and Olivia; great great grandson, Michael; several nieces and nephews; many special friends and special dog, Onsie. He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Golda Thrasher Pierce; son, Jesse Green; four brothers and two sisters.
