Mr. Billy Doyce King, 86, died Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS..M.. Jay Derryberry officiating… Born in Paris, MS, Mr. King was the widower of Peggy Jean King and a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church. He honorably served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from General Electric in 1992 after 44 years as a supervisor. Affectionately known as “The Clock Man”, Mr. King enjoyed repairing, restoring and collecting old clocks. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn King of Water Valley, MS; a daughter, Brenda Marlene Powell of Collierville, TN; a son, Doyce King and his wife, Alisa of Nesbit, MS; eight grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.. King’s memory may be made to Bay Springs Baptist Church, 21 CR 265, Abbeville, MS 38601.
