SALEM – Billy Deane Snyder, age 82, died at 8:15 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2018 at his home. He was born January 6, 1936 in Salem, the son of Bert and Margaret Virginia (Glass) Snyder.
Billy worked at the former Penn Motor in Salem as a salesman for 50 years. He was a member of the Phillips Christian Church and served as an elder. Billy was a 1953 graduate of Salem High School, an avid gardener, hunter and loved tractor pulls. He was a very loving husband and father. Billy served in U.S. Army Reserves.
Survivors include his wife, Martha (Stein) Snyder, whom he married September 16, 1961; a son, Eric Snyder of Salem; a daughter, Chris (John) Toalston of St. Pete, FL.
Besides his parents, a brother, James L. Snyder also preceded him in death October 1, 2008.
