Billy Wyrick, 78, of Elkhart, departed this life on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on June 26, 1942 in Magnolia, Arkansas.

Billy was raised by his maternal grandparents, Ephron and Marie Wyrick. He attended Magnolia Public Schools and started his career as a butcher at Phillips Packing House. He relocated to Elkhart, where he began employment at Plumrose for 48 years.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.

Billy’s memory will be cherished by his loved ones; his loving wife, Virginia Wyrick; sons, Billy Don (Carla), Magnolia, AR; Steven Lamar (Victoria), Mishawaka, IN and Billy Wayne Magnolia, AR; stepchildren, Jerry Massey, Jeffrey (Jonelle) Massey, and Virginia Massey (Lesley) Dudley, Elkhart, IN; Raymond (Darlene) Sears, South Bend, IN; siblings: Hattie Tucker, Fort Washington, MD; Ephron Robinson, Houston, TX; Jack Robinson (Frances), Dallas, TX; Tommy (Ulonda) Robinson, Stockton, CA; Paul Robinson, Washington, DC; and Etta (Tony) Smith, Magnolia, AR; and several grandchildren.

Billy was a kind, hardworking, and intelligent man who always worked hard to provide for his family. He was a man of very little words, but his actions spoke for him. He loved his wife, Virginia, immensely and enjoyed cooking meals with her for their family. Billy also enjoyed watching his westerns on TV and could talk about politics all day. Billy will be missed greatly by his loving family, many friends, and especially by his grandchildren.
