LESLIE “BILLIE” SMITH, 87
Leslie “Billie” Smith, formerly of Port St. John and Rockledge, entered into her Creator’s presence peacefully on May 5, 2016, after a long illness. She is survived by her 7 children, Leslie McKee, Bill/Chris Smith, Bob Smith, Mary (Doug) Thompson, Jim Smith, Anne (Bonnie Haig) Smith, and Mike Smith. Her extended family includes 7 grandchildren: Scott (Val) Smith, Angela Smith, Leslie (Alex) Acton, Tim (Monica) Smith, Ben (Elyse) Smith, Austin Thompson, and Jacob Smith and 5 great grandchildren. She leaves behind numerous other loving relatives and treasured friends.
Billie retired from the Brevard County School Board and enjoyed many years of traveling. She was active in the Catholic parishes of St. Mary’s of Rockledge when the children attended school there, and at Blessed Sacrament of Cocoa, solidifying her commitment to God. Billie’s family was her passion and delight, and her greatest source of pride.
She enjoyed gardening, listening to all types of music, and reading. She was active her entire life, keeping in shape with Jazzercise and various outdoor activities. She had a genuine love for life.
