Billie Jean ‘Jeanie’ Stafford, 56, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior, Wednesday, June 22, 2016, while at her home, surrounded by loving family.
Born December 19, 1959, in Morehead, Jeanie leaves behind her husband of 35 years, Dennis Stafford, whom she wed May 16, 1981; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bradley (Kelsie) Stafford of Morehead and Jared (Ashley) Stafford of Villa Ridge, Missouri; two daughters; Virginia Bethany Stafford and Hannah Stafford, both of Morehead; one granddaughter, Lydia Stafford; one grandson, James Stafford; her mother; and a multitude of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She is the only child of George Ann Reeder Bailey of Morehead and the late William G. ‘Tuds’ Bailey.
Jeanie was a 1977 graduate of Rowan County High School and 1981 graduate of Morehead State University. Always passionately involved with children’s education, she taught in both public and private schools for many years.
