Billie George Myers “Bill”, 82, of Destin, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 in a local hospital. He was born on October 25, 1931 in Lone Mountain, TN to Claude Myers.
He was Baptist by faith and retired from the United States Air Force. After his Air Force career he taught high school in Claiborne County, TN for 22 years.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Ingeborg Myers; daughter Karin Gamble (Frog) of Knoxville, TN, Kristina Lloyd (Joe) of North Hampton, NH, Sherrie Keck (Dean) of Knoxville, TN; son, Michael Myers (Laura) of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren: Ryen Minton, Tyler Minton, Sam Lloyd, Jack and Ian Myers; 2 great-grandsons: Ash and Conner Minton; and brother: Donald (Hawk) Myers and wife Ann of Tazewell, TN.
