Billie Ann (Poor) Vlastnik, 80, of Peru passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Billie Ann was born October 28, 1932 in Vichy, MO to Otto and Grace (Skaggs) Poor. She was raised by her Aunt and Uncle, Maude and Tom Cook, because her mother passed away early in Billie Ann’s life. She graduated with honors from Rolla, Missouri High School and became a legal secretary for the Rolla City Attorney.

She later worked civil service at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri where she met her future husband, Bill. They were married September 3, 1956 in the Church of Christ in Rolla, MO. Billie Ann was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Peru where she was in the Women’s Guild, served on various committees, and taught Sunday school for many years. Billie Ann also worked at Vlastnik’s Menswear.

She is survived by her husband, William, of 56 years; two sons, Richard (Beth) Vlastnik and Dale (Kelly) Vlastnik, both of Peru; three grandsons, Alexander, Kurtis, and Joseph and her sister, Margaret Obertz of St. Louis, MO. She was preceded in death by five brothers, one sister, and her parents. Pallbearers will be John Vlastnik, Frank Vlastnik, Alexander Vlastnik, Kurtis Vlastnik, John Armon, and Gordon Armstrong.
