Bill “The Barber” Graves, 80, of Great Falls, MT, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 21st, 2016 at Park Place Nursing Home.

Bill was born on April 16, 1936 in Glendive, MT, to Albert “Slim” and Georgia Graves. He later went on to join the Army in 1953. After proudly serving his nation, Bill returned home from his tour where he later met and married Beatrice LaVerne Holzworth. Together they had three children, but later divorced. He then met and married Barbara Hendricks. With this union, he gained a very loving extended family. Bill and Barbara had 34 happy years together before his untimely passing.

Bill was a barber in town for 60 years in which time he owned the Riverview Barber Shop. Cutting hair was his lifelong passion. He truly enjoyed bs-ing with all his customers which created many lifelong friends. Not only was he known for being the oldest barber in town, he was also known for being Senator John Tester’s barber.

Bill was a man of many talents. He announced Golden Glove Boxing for 25 years and was an avid little league baseball coach. He had many hobbies including leather tooling, wood working, and an enjoyment for making agate jewelry.

Bill is survived by his wife Barbara Graves; daughters, Dixi Graves, Kristie (Bob) Sheldon, Tracy (Dwayne) Fish; son, Mark (Richard) Scheele; grandchildren, Rochelle (Amanda) D’Attilio, Megan (Chris) McKiernan, Anthony D’Attilio, Shannon (Israel) McKiernan; great-grandchildren, Madison (his dolly) Christopher, Makayla, Maya, Izabella, Taylor, Angel, Aleigha, and Gabby.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Albert “Slim” and Georgia Graves; son, Curtis Lee Graves; brothers, Marvin and Lyle Graves; sister, Myrna Conner.

Bill, you are our hero! We love you, and will miss you more than words can say! See you on the other side!
