Bill R. Hedge, 88, of Anderson, passed away December 10, 2020, at St. Vincent’s Anderson Hospital. He was born August 5, 1932, in Vincennes, Indiana to the late William and Golda Hedge. Bill graduated from Anderson High School in 1950, and joined the Army right after graduation.
He worked at Anaconda for 26 years and retired from the City of Anderson after 11 years of service. He did amazing carpentry work, and could build just about anything. He loved woodworking, keeping busy, remodeling jobs, and being with his family. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Diana Hedge; children, Janet (Mark) Strahlendorf, and Randall Hedge; sister, Linda Mabrey; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and his beloved dog, Brandy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Marjorie Hollingsworth and Bob Hedge; his step-son, Larry Leon Wisehart Jr.; and his loving fur babies, Fancy and Mandy.
