William Clifford Mayers, a longtime resident and farmer of St. Johns, died peacefully at home on the farm on July 4th, 2024. He was 91 years old.Bill was born on August 9, 1932 in St. Johns, Michigan, the youngest of three sons born to Louis and Ethel (Lamberson) Mayers. He graduated from Rodney B. High School in 1950 and enlisted with the United States Army, proudly serving his country in Japan during the Korean War. He was a radio operator, driver and artillery communication specialist in the Army.
