Bill D. Criley, 93 of Centralia, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. He was born August 18, 1925 in Centralia, son of William C. Criley and Winifred (Roper) Criley. He married Anita Michael on March 29, 1959 in Hoffman and she preceded him in death on October 3, 2016.

He is survived by a brother, David Criley and wife Edith of Centralia; nephews: Ron Criley, Gary Criley, Fred M. Ellis, Kurt Michael, Mark Kellermann, Mike Kellermann, Dennis Koelling, James Koelling, and Bradley Michael; nieces: Sharilyn Muench, Lisa Quick, and Tina Michael.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, an infant brother: William Criley, a brother: Robert Criley, a sister: Elaine Ellis and husband Fred, four brothers-in-laws: Dwight Michael, Eugene Kellermann, Roger Koelling, and Ralph Michael, and four sisters-in-law: Melba Kellermann, Arleen Michael, Betty Criley and Imogene Koelling. Bill graduated from Centralia Township High School in 1943 and Centralia Junior College.

He served in the United States Army during World War II and was stationed in Germany and France. He retired from the 375th supply squadron at Scott Air Force Base in Mascoutah, Illinois. Bill was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman, where he served as an usher and elder. He was also a member of the Centralia V.F.W. Post 2055.
