Those left to honor Bill’s memory are his wife, Marlys of Baxter; 2 sons, Rory (Chrystle) Colyn of Knoxville, Iowa and Joel (Cindy) Colyn of Baxter; his 2 daughters, Rhonda (Lonny) Barr of Whitesboro, Texas and Janelle (Dwayne) Maasdam of Lynnville, Iowa; 7 grandchildren, Leisha, Kevin, and Scott Colyn, Zachary and Taylor Maasdam, and Allison and Trenton Colyn; his 2 great-grandchildren, Alexis and Kaden Colyn; mother, Helen Colyn of Monroe, Iowa; his sister, Shirely LaPour of Monroe; and many other relatives and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Colyn; brother, Don Colyn; and a sister, Twyla, in infancy.
Bill was a salesman in agricultural chemical and seed sales for many years, retiring in 2004.
