Beverly T. Shavinsky, age 86, of Fairfield, formerly of Jackson, NJ, beloved wife of the late Emory Shavinsky, Jr., passed away peacefully, Sunday, November 7, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Bedford, MA on July 27, 1935, the daughter of the late Alvin “Dutch” and Hilda May Tunstall, she graduated from Fairhaven High School in 1953. Beverly graduated from Bridgewater State University in 1957 with a degree in Education. She began her elementary school teaching career in Fairhaven, MA and married Emory in 1961. Beverly relocated to Portsmouth, VA due to her husband’s Navy assignment and eventually moved to Jackson, NJ where she continued her teaching career until her retirement in 1995.
