Beverly Miller, age 85, of Algona, died on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at her home. Beverly Jean Wilhelmi, the daughter of Doris (Schichtl) Wilhelmi and Joseph Wilhelmi, was born on March 10, 1929 in Algona, Iowa. Beverly graduated from St. Cecelia High School in 1946.
On June 15, 1953 she was united in marriage with Christian J. Miller at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona, Iowa. Beverly was a farm wife on the family Century Farm in the Plum Creek Township. She was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church. Beverly enjoyed her family, gardening, cooking, quilting, reading, traveling and playing cards.
Left to cherish Beverly’s memory are her four sons, Mark Miller and his wife Lisa of Algona, Michael Miller and his wife Mary of Algona, Mitchell Miller and his wife Janine of Plymouth, MN and Myles Miller and his wife Lori of Algona; seven daughters, Marnie Killip and her husband John of Ankeny, Melanie McEnroe and her husband Tom of Atlanta, GA, Marsha Birchard and her husband Steve of Chicago, IL, Melissa Capesius and her husband Barney of Ankeny, Molly Steffen and her husband Jay of Ankeny, Marilyn Miller of San Diego, CA and Meg Miller Ashworth and her husband Dan of Ankeny; twenty-six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Christian in 2010; brother, Richard Wilhelmi and sister, Marilyn Skilling.
