Beverly Manske, 80, of Algona died peacefully at her home with family at her side on Friday, November 8, 2007. Beverly Oothoudt was born October 5, 1927, to Emma (Oskerson) and Ralph Oothoudt in Blue Earth, MN. She received her high school education in Huntley, MN.Beverly attended Hamline University and Mankato State where she received her teaching degree. Beverly taught school for 32 years. Twenty one of those years were in the Algona Public School System. While at Algona, she received the distinguished Apple Award. She retired from teaching in 1990.In 1948, Beverly married William Manske in Blue Earth, MN. In 1969 they moved to Algona.As a member of the Algona Methodist Church she was a junior choir director, taught Sunday and Bible School, sang in the choir and served as chairperson of the church board. She was a member of the Retired Teacher&rsquo
