Beverly Malan Strand, age 100, passed away the day after her birthday on July 23, 2022. She was born July 22, 1922 to Lawrence Maxwell Malan and Ethel Electa Sherner Malan in Ogden, Utah.
Beverly married Bert Oscar Strand of Tremonton, Utah on February 15, 1944 in the Salt Lake Temple, he died July 5, 2004. She worked as a secretary at the Ogden Ordnance Depot, the IRS, and in later years she volunteered for the Senior Citizens of North Ogden. Beverly was a member and secretary for the Northview Senior Citizen Board of Trustees for 8 years. In her younger years she was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, teaching, playing the organ and piano.
She is survived by seven children, Michael (Elara) Strand, Marilyn Larsen, Bob (Mary) Strand, Laurie (Kelly) Moore, Timothy Strand, Robin Strand, Larry (Trang) Strand, ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Dr. Lee J. Malan.
She has been a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
