Beverly A. Kohl, 84, Wisconsin Rapids, in the evening hours of February 16, 2013, surrounded by the comforting love of family and friends, accepted the warm hands of her Lord as he guided her into the loving arms of her waiting family and countless friends.
In her own words, as she so often expressed, Bev was blessed with an amazing, loving husband, Jerry, (Love at first sight she would add) whom she celebrated more than 62 Valentine Days with. They spent endless hours in their puzzle room creating all the many works of art that will forever hang on the walls of so many homes. Her three children, Richelle Kohl (Mike Galles) of Wisconsin Rapids, Rebecca Kohl of Taylor, WI, and Richard (Denise) Kohl of Wisconsin Rapids, further enhanced her life with five most beloved grandchildren, Jira, Berek, Caitlin, Briel and Rhea. As all those who knew her will agree, you?d better have a few extra minutes to look at her ?grandkids book?!
Bev always found additional time for family, friends, cooking, baking, bowling, and fishing. Unless, of course, it was during the months of January thru April during which she devoted the last 44 years to H & R Block and her countless loyal clients, who also became the friends that she so looked forward to seeing, even though it might only be that one time per year.
Bev always looked forward to the Friday night ?Fishing? trips with dear friends, Bob and Mary Lou. Judi and Mary? Bev?s ?four letter word? friends, (all or at least most, were nice four letter words?so they say) held a special place in her heart. Perkins may never be the same? most certainly they might never have three ladies occupy a booth for so many hours of nonstop laughter and chatter. Thank you to Bev?s ?adopted? daughters Kim and Karma, along with the rest of the ?gang?, for always looking out for Mom and being her extra eyes, ears, and shoulders.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents and brother.
A memorial for cancer research will be established by the family at a later date.
