With both sadness and joy, we said goodbye to our mother today. She loved the words of Jesus in John’s gospel, chapter 14 vs 3- “when everything is ready, I will come and get you so that you will always be with me where I am.”

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Isbell, her loving husband, Bob Isbell, and her grandson, Christian Beaman.  She is survived by her five children: Bruce (Kelly) Isbell, Bonnie (Dan) Morley, Bob Isbell, Barry (Nicole) Isbell and Betty (Rob) Beaman; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Mom had such a beautiful mind. She was an avid reader, and she would study the Bible for hours on end. While raising a house full of children she would plan out lessons for her Sunday School classes.  She loved to teach the Word of God, to both children and adults.

In 1975, mom completed her degree in Education. She was a resource teacher for Gifted and Talented students (GATE program) in Tucson Unified School District, for many years.  Later she participated in Literacy Volunteers, teaching adults how to read one on one.

We will miss our mom everyday. She was always there for us. In our adult lives she was our prayer partner and prayed for each of us daily, and blessings flowed.

As her health declined over the last two years, Mom just could no longer do the things she loved.

Now her trials are over.  We find such peace in knowing her beautiful mind is now set free!  No more pain, no more tears.  We love you mom!

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

Revelation 21:4
