Beverly Jean Sheldon, 75, of Cherry Hills Village, passed away at home on Thursday, Feb. 3rd. Beverly was passionate about making a difference in the lives of any creature requiring care and attention needed as a result of being neglected or abused. Her early commitment and development towards animal rescue organizations allowed her to serve as President of High Country Basset Rescue beginning in 1980. Beverly carried on her activism through Denver’s many Boxer Rescue organizations until late 2010. Beverly’s compassion for animals has resulted in hundreds of fostered and re-located animals. Her philanthropy and generosity towards others and organizations such as The Humane Society and Denver Dumb Friends League will be missed. Beverly was born in Denver and is survived by her husband of 48 years, Theodore Dwight Sheldon, 4 children, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
