Beverly Jean Northrup age 86, of Fort Pierce, FL, passed away on January 15, 2019. Born December 9, 1932, to Rolland Taylor and Elsie Lucas in Pittsburg, Kansas. Beverly enjoyed gardening, vacationing with her sisters and grandchildren, her computer, and keeping in touch with lifelong friends from her High school years and close friends who loved her dearly. She also loved playing her computer games.
Beverly lived for many years in Chillicothe, Illinois. She attended Chillicothe High School in Illinois graduating in 1950 and has attended many reunions. She moved to Fort Pierce from 1957 to 1964. She lived in San Jose, California from 1964 to 1970. She moved back to Fort Pierce from 1970 to 2019.
Beverly is preceded in death by her husband James Arthur; son, Rolland Northrup; sisters, Mary Lou Stewart and Ilene Moulton. She is survived by her daughter, Robinanne Northrup; grandchildren, Justin Grantham (Christine), Linsey Grantham, Jaime Northrup Reise (Rob), and great-grandson, Phoenix.
Beverly had 2 children of her own, but there are many that called her their “Other Mother”, due to her sweet, loving, and caring spirit and she would always be there to comfort them when needed. Her other honorary children include Jean Northrup Ptacek, Debra and Michael Johnson,Valerie Lyman, Lisa Fix, Steve Moulton, and Holly Churchill.
Beverly worked for many years locally at Baslow -Hentschel Moters, Johnson Chrysler Plymouth, and Sunrise Ford as the Business Manager/Comptroller. She has always been in the car business and still has many in the business who remembers her and loved her. A few lifelong friends include Brenda Theil, Grace Ford, and Louise Fix.
